Merchant Terms of Service

1. Platform Services & Scope

ForToi provides an online platform that enables independent food and beverage merchants to receive customer orders for local pickup. ForToi is not a party to the transactions between merchants and customers.

2. Fee Structure & Payment Processing

Merchants must link their own Stripe Connect Standard account to clear transactions. ForToi charges a 0% platform commission fee to support local SMBs. Merchants are only responsible for standard credit card processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 CAD per transaction) charged directly by Stripe. Voluntary platform support tips can be left by users to keep ForToi operational at $0 cost to merchants.

3. Taxes & Local Regulatory Compliance

In accordance with Quebec's sales tax regulations, merchants are responsible for manually entering incoming orders into their local point-of-sale (POS/MEV) cash registers, printing fiscal tax receipts, and collecting and filing all applicable sales taxes (GST/QST/HST).

4. Account Termination & Data Erasure

In compliance with Quebec's Law 25, you may request the complete deletion of your merchant profile and order configurations at any time by contacting privacy@fortoi.com. Accounts can be terminated at any time without penalty.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The ForToi platform is provided on an 'AS-IS' and 'AS-AVAILABLE' basis with exactly 0% platform service fee. ForToi takes no responsibility and assumes zero liability for transactions, customer chargebacks, disputes, refunds, health safety compliance, or any direct/indirect damages arising from the use of the platform. All payment risk, compliance, and verification operations are delegated directly to Stripe Connect and the merchant's connected account.
